Omar Manejwala, MD, FAPA
Manejwala is a seasoned expert, knowledgeable advisor and engaging speaker with an extensive background in psychiatry, addiction medicine, leadership and organizational development. He consistently delivers transformative presentations that translate the neurobiology of behavior into real and understandable terms. He brings unique insights into the profoundly complex worlds of addiction, psychiatry and behavioral change.
A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Manejwala began his career in organizational leadership as the Executive Chief Resident in Psychiatry at Duke. From there he developed and led a Somatic Therapy Service at Carolinas Health Care, one of the largest health systems in North Carolina. He is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is described as a catalyst for organizational development; for example, he previously ushered dramatic growth at The Farley Center where he served as a Psychiatrist and the Associate Medical Director. Dr. Manejwala has recently been named Medical Director at Hazeldenin Center City, Minnesota. Dr. Manejwala credits his business education at the University of Virginia's prestigious Darden School for his successes in enterprise leadership and organizational development.
